Concord grape

The Concord grape is a black grape cultivar derived from the Vitis labrusca that are used as table grapes, wine grapes and juice grapes. They are often used to make grape jelly. The grape is sometimes used to make wine. Traditionally, most commercially produced Concord wines have been finished sweet, but dry versions are possible.

The skin of a Concord grape is typically dark blue or purple, Concord grapes have large seeds and are highly aromatic.

The major growing areas are the Finger Lakes District of New York, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, Southwestern Michigan, and the Yakima Valley in Washington…

Frontenac

Frontenac is an hybrid grape vine that is a result of research and cross-breeding very cold hardy selection of Vitis riparia by the University of Minnesota. It was released in 1996.

Frontenac Gris is a white wine version of Frontenac, introduced in 2003. It started as a single bud mutation of Frontenac, yielding gray, fruit and amber-colored juice. Frontenac blanc will be introduced in 2012 from white fruited mutations found in both Frontenac and Frontenac Gris vines in Minnesota and Canada

The Marquette grape variety

 It Is a hybrid variety of different species of Vitis, and Ravat 262. with origin of the Frontenac and Pinot noir. On the wine plan, the grape Marquette is remarkable. Resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew and black rot.

The high sugar content and the moderate acidity of Marquette make it very manageable in the vineyard. The finished wines are complex, with a beautiful ruby color, pronounced tannins, both on the nose and on the palate. As a red wine, Marquette represents a new standard in winemaking and oenology that is resistant to cold. . .

Sangiovese

Sangiovese is the main red grape of Chianti and much of central Italy. This is the most widespread grape variety in Italy. It is called Brunello in southern Tuscany. (DOCG Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano)

Its name comes from Sangue (Blood) and Giove (Jupiter) and therefore means blood of Jupiter.

It provides fruity, with colorful and slightly acidic, which like the great Italian cuisine with tomato.

It is also present in California and many states in USA, in Argentina, Australia and Corsica, where it is called Niellucciu (or Nielluccio) …
