This hybrid grape variety was developed in 1983 with the collaboration of the University of Minnesota.

White variety from Elmer Swenson 114 and Seyval.

Produces a wine with fruity aromas reminiscent of the Muscat grape variety and the Riesling grape variety.

It can be found in North America in the Midwest region of Canada, in Quebec or in Eastern countries such as Russia.

Often compared to Riesling when it is well vinified, it develops aromas centered on the fruit with a floral character. . .

Sherry Jerez is a matured wine

First of all, you should know that Sherry and Sherry mean the same thing

sherry "comes from the Arabic" sherrisch "which is used in France and in the Anglo-Saxon countries.

A Sherry cask can contain between 480 and 520 liters of spirits compared to 180 liters for a Bourbon cask.

Jerez are wines that are mutated or vinified by adding grape brandy with an alcohol content of 95 °. Mutage takes place at the end of alcoholic fermentation.

One of the first peculiarities of some Jerez is therefore that they are dry wines, because all the sugars in the berries have been transformed into alcohol.

The grape varieties: Palomino, Fino, Moscatel, Pedro Ximenez, these last two are mainly used in blending, but sometimes alone also, in sweet wines.

After harvesting, the bunches are left to dry for one or two days in a place called "almiar".

Some wines will then be aged for many years according to the solera system which slowly oxidizes the wine. A method that is also found in the Jura for yellow wine or even for certain champagnes ...

Viognier is a white grape variety that was originally cultivated in the northern Côtes du Rhône. After almost disappeared, it has become since the last quarter of the twentieth century one of the most popular varieties in the world.
