It is celebrated every year at the end of July, in the village of Louis Pasteur in the Jura Vineyard.
The Trousseau (noir) is a grape grown especially in the vineyards of Jura and in Portugal. It is also an appellation of red wine from the Jura vineyard based on this grape variety.
It is also found in southern Australia like dessert wine, in Galicia, Argentina, under the name of the Rio Negro pinot Gris appellation and in Portugal for making port and Madeira
The Gris Trousseau is a pink mutation, found occasionally in the Jura Vineyard and quite common in California under the name "Gray Riesling". . .
