Dornfelder

The Dornfelder is a black wine grape varietal.

On the crossing of helfensteiner and heroldrebe varietals made in 1955, authorized in many Länder in Germany were also found in Belgium.

The name of the grape variety is a tribute to Immanuel Dornfeld, which is at the origin of the foundation of the wine institute in Weinsberg.

It gives a very colorful wine with fruity taste, and enhances the color of pale wine in assemblies. It’s also serves as base wines for Sparkling wines…
