Leon Millot : It  is a black grapes.

Obtained by Eugene Kuhlmann around 1911 by crossing (Vitis riparia , Vitis rupestris and  Goldriesling in Colmar in Alsace and marketed from 1921.

From the same cross are the Maréchal Foch, Lucie Kuhlmann, Pinard, Etoile and Triomphe d'Alsace varieties.

Early maturity: 5 - 6 days before Chasselas, it is resistant to mildew but fears powdery mildew

Today it is found in: Vendée ( France), Switzerland, in Canada and the United States. . .
