Le Léon Millot

It is a black grape.

Obtained by Eugene Kuhlmann around 1911 by crossing Vitis riparia, Vitis rupestris and Goldriesling in Colmar in Alsace and marketed from 1921.

From the same cross are the Maréchal Foch, Lucie Kuhlmann, Pinard, Etoile and Triomphe D’ Alsace varieties.

Early maturity: 5 - 6 days before Chasselas, it is resistant to mildew but fears powdery mildew

Today it is found in: Vendée (France), Switzerland, in Canada and the United States…
