Zinfandel or Primitivo

 

Zinfandel is a red grape represetrong>nting nearly 10% of the California vineyard. Some analysis revealed that is the genetic equivalent of Crljenak Kaštelanski present in Croatia and with the Primitivo cultivated in the Italian region of Puglia.

It is also met in Australia, New Zealand, United States, Brazil, Chile, Italy, Alemagne, Bulgaria, Albania, Malta, Portugal, Greece, and Croatia.

It is also increasingly often in California used as basic grape in assemblies with some grape tradition of Bordeaux varietals or Syrah. . .

Pinot Gris

Pinot Gris (Tokay long called) Pinot Gris is a gray grape with a generous character that develops opulence and flavor characteristics. Bodied, round and with a long finish, it has complex aromas of sometimes slightly smoked underbrush or floral.

Certainly originated from Burgundy region it is a gray variation of Pinot Noir which it is distinguished only by the color of its berries. It is mainly produced in Germany under the name Ruländer, Grauer Mönch or Grauburgunder.  Today we find it everywhere on Glob . . .

Petit Verdot

Original Grape from Pyrenees (rather Béarn) It is part of a small group of grape varieties including the Gros Verdot, the Lambrusquet, archaic form béarnaise and Ardonnet.

Introduced in Gironde where he brought a touch of complexity in assemblies.

There is an extra grape in the Médoc vineyards, but also recently varietal wines in the Mediterranean part of French vineyards and Ontario in Canada. It is also found increasingly in Spain developed in mono grape, grown in California and Long Island (New York). In Portugal, near the region of Alentejo, In South America, Chile, Argentina, we start making wine in the mono varietal, and In Australia. . .

The Carmenere

The Carmenere is a grape of French black tank originally from the Bordeaux region.

 It belongs to the family of Carmenets such as cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot or cabernet, it is brought back to the Middle Ages by pilgrims returning from the Spanish Basque Country, and Saint Jacques de Compostela.

Including  three varietals of  Bonarda used in Italy: Bonarda Piemontese, the Bonarda of Lombardy and Emilia Romagna, which is called uva rara; Bonarda di Gattinara would actually croatina.

And the Bonarda Varietal in Argentina that have no relation with previous

During a trip   to Mendoza the French Paul Truel discovered that this variety was actually the raven, also called black soft, charbonneau, current in  Savoie region ; from Argentina, Bonarda was then exported to California, where it is called Charbono. . .

French Chardonnay is a white grape. Originally from Burgundy vineyard, he became an international grape having won very many wine producing countries of  world.

Its qualities make use like many types of white wine, Burgundy wines to sparkling wines , Champagne  and grape wine .

This grape is known from a long time in Burgundy, described in different forms that make it look like pinot noir or melon de Bourgogne.

 It was Pierre Galet in 1958 which helped to differentiate definitely pinot blanc of its method ampelographic, the latter by making a full variety. The wine village of Chardonnay in Mâconnais vineyard in Burgundy is probably the historical cradle of the grape .

Chardonnay is a wine that is produced from white grapes. Traditionally, it is common to think that Chardonnay species come from the wine region of Burgundy in France. . .
