Pinot Noir

Pinot is likely from the North East of France and known very long time in Burgundy, as shown, for example, the genetic variability of this grape. It could come from wild vines selected and cultivated at the time of Romains arrival, it would then spread throughout Europe by the latter under the name Allobrogica.
