Noiret Grape

Noiret is a red hybrid grape variety. Developed and named by researchers from Cornell University, New York, it was officially released on July 7, 2006. It is the result of a cross between the previous hybrids NY65.0467.08 and Steuben in 1973;

Noiret matures at mid-season, this hybrid grape specially created for the colder climates of the northeastern United States

It is found in vineyards in New York, Ohio, Virginia, Tennessee and New Hampshire. The wines of Noiret are generally quite grassy and fruity with soft tannins.
